Badam Cookies
Ingredients
Dough
- MFM Cap Bunga Cempaka All-Purpose Flour – 150g
- Daisy Margarine – 120g
- Icing Sugar – 60g
- Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
- Almond Powder – 70g
Filling
- Sliced Almond
Method
- Cream the margarine and sifted icing sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla essence and mix well.
- Add the sifted flour and almond powder.
- Mix until a smooth dough is formed.
- Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic to 1cm thickness.
- Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Arrange cookies on a baking tray greased with melted margarine.
- Brush the surface with egg yolk and decorate with sliced almonds.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–15 minutes until fully cooked.
Steps to Make Badam Cookies
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
In a mixing bowl, cream the margarine and sifted icing sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence and mix until well combined.Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
Add the sifted MFM Bunga Cempaka All-Purpose Flour and almond powder. Mix gently until a smooth dough is formed.Step 3: Roll & Shape
Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic until 1cm thick. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.Step 4: Arrange & Decorate
Arrange the cookies on a greased baking tray. Brush the surface with egg yolk and decorate with sliced almonds.Step 5: Bake to Perfection
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–15 minutes, or until fully cooked. Allow to cool before serving.
