Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- MFM Bunga Cempaka All-Purpose Flour – 180g
- Daisy Margarine – 125g
- Sugar – 100g
- Peanut Butter – 100g
- Vanilla Essence – 2g
- Egg Yolk – 18g
- Baking Powder – 4g
Method
- Cream the margarine, sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla essence until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk and beat until the mixture is smooth.
- Sift the flour together with baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the mixture and mix until well combined.
- Roll out the dough to 1cm thickness and cut using a cookie cutter of your choice.
- Arrange the cookies on a baking tray greased with melted margarine.
- Brush the surface with egg yolk and decorate with peanuts if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–15 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
Steps to Make Peanut Butter Cookies
Step 1: Cream the Mixture
In a mixing bowl, beat the margarine, sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla essence until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolk and continue beating until smooth.Step 2: Add Dry Ingredients
Sift the MFM Bunga Cempaka All-Purpose Flour together with baking powder. Gradually fold into the mixture until a smooth dough is formed.Step 3: Shape the Cookies
Roll out the dough to about 1cm thickness. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.Step 4: Prepare for Baking
Arrange the cookies on a greased baking tray. Brush the surface with egg yolk and decorate with peanuts for added texture and appearance.Step 5: Bake to Perfection
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–15 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool before serving for best texture.
